Co-created with funding from the Following Young Fathers Further study, the Grimsby Dads Collective, now Dads United, brings together fathers and carers from Grimsby who had a child under the age of 25, or soon-to be fathers under the age of 25. Based in Nottingham, UK, Small Steps Big Changes (SSBC) is one of five 'A Better Start Partnerships', a ten-year (2015-2025), £215 million programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF). Father Inclusive Practice was one of SSBC’s core system change objectives. SSBC's resource hub brings together a pack of info for dads, a father-inclusive campaign toolkit and strategy poster, and a service standards and audit tool for services.

Based in Worthing, Dad La Soul produces the UK's largest and best engaged dad-friendly playdates, with hundreds of families joining in with everything from age-appropriate stand-up comedy and rap workshops to bushcraft and guerrilla gardening.

Pact is a pioneering national charity that supports prisoners, people with convictions and their families. Learn more about support for (young) fathers in prisons and access the 'Care in the Prison System' report developed in collaboration with the Following Young Fathers Further team at the University of Lincoln.

The Diverse Dads co-research project was conducted between October 2020 and April 2021 and involved a partnership between the ‘Following Young Fathers Further’ research team and the North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL), based in Gateshead, UK. Life Coach Directory are a National organisation providing information on a variety of coaching types available. They also hold a Nationwide directory of qualified coaches, available to help you across a range of areas. Family coaching sessions are designed to help families improve communication, resolve conflicts and strengthen family relationships with the support of a family coach or family life coach. Coaches can support fathers with challenges such as parenting confidence, co-parenting, work-life balance and strengthening relationships with their children. Sessions may involve the whole family, parents only, children and fathers, or extended family members. Some fathers may seek support individually to work through parenting challenges or improve family relationships, while others may prefer to attend as a group. The YoungMinds Parents Helpline and web resources are there for dads YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health. YoungMinds offers a free, national Helpline service for any parent or carer concerned about a young person aged 0-25. The Parents Helpline has trained advisors and is confidential. You can contact the service by phone or webchat. It also provides a translation service which can translate into more than 200 languages. The YoungMinds website has comprehensive resources for all parents and carers, including activities you can do to support conversations with your child, what to do if your child doesn’t want to talk and what to do if your child tells you they're struggling.

Currently seeking young fathers, aged 25 and under, the AADAPT study is trying to find out whether a new way to support parents aged 16-24 years who are experiencing low mood and stress is helpful.

A Gateshead based charity, the North East Young Dads and Lads, also known colloquially as NEYDL, provide a nationally distinctive specialist support offer for young fathers, aged 25 and under. Access links to annual reports and other resources about effective support for young fathers.

Leeds Dads is a multi-award winning, volunteer run charitable support group that bonds dads with their pre-school kids, and other dads. Running since 2010, the study has supported over 1000 dads per year with free SoftPlay, Breakfast Club and Dads and Kids Walks every weekend for 46 weeks of the year. Co-designed with lived experience fathers in collaboration with the Prepare DAD Foundation, Associate Professor Dr Rakime Elmir based at Western Sydney University shares videos that were developed to generate insights into the realities of fathers transition to parenthood in the early weeks postpartum and normalise diverse fathers when seeking the support they need to be involved parenting partners.

The Dads’ Network CIC is a new Community Interest Company and social enterprise based in Totnes, Devon. The organisation runs fun activities for father figures and their children each month and a DadFes. It also acts as a membership organisation for all community dads groups in England and Wales.

Kieran Simkin is a father of three and a songwriter. In his song 'Birth Stories', he shares a moving first-person account of fatherhood, birth and the lasting impact of these moments. Kieran provides important insights into fathers' experiences of birth and the value and necessity of father-inclusive support and communication for fathers when supporting their partners through birth.

Based in Torfaen South Wales, For Dads, By Dads is a ten-week support programme aimed at helping new and expectant dads that is provided in a safe environment. The organisation has partnered with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, the Early Years Team Torfaen, the Torfaen Family information service, Fathers Mental Health, 4 Minds, Tidy Butt, Ara Recoveries For All, Newport County in the community, Gwent N-Gage, Newport Dragons Community and Child & Family Community Psychology (ABUHB). The programme is run by Jacob Guy through the Torfaen Sports Development for Torfaen County Borough Council. Sowing Seeds was set up in January 2002, by 3 men and a woman who worked with children and young people. It formed itself as a charitable association in January 2005 and a company ltd by guarantee in 2006. We have been working from the inception with African Caribbean Men/fathers, firstly as part of the Baby-father Initiative and since 2005 by ourselves.

The Centre for Research on Children and Families (CRCF) is at the forefront of research on vulnerable children, parenting and family change. CRCF plays a vital role in supporting the complex decisions taken to ensure the well-being of children and their families and provides high quality research evidence that informs policy and practice and has a direct positive impact on the lives of children and families.

Originally based in London, the Young Dads Collective is a model of support for young fathers that engaged young fathers as 'experts by experience' who train professionals about father-inclusion. Dad Ready is a free online antenatal course created by Gareth Wall, Lead Parenting Officer in Torfaen, Wales and founder of the Be A Super Dad website. Designed specifically for expectant fathers, it offers practical, accessible guidance on preparing for birth, being a supportive birth partner, bonding, newborn care, supporting a partner and looking after dads’ own wellbeing. The Be A Super Dad website is a father-focused support platform. The site provides practical, accessible support for dads navigating the everyday challenges of parenting, including free resources, guides, books and one-to-one coaching. Its approach combines father-specific expertise with non-judgemental support, honest reflection and practical strategies designed to strengthen relationships and make a difference to family life.
